About Us

The way we do theater needs to be more accessible and varied. We missed working on productions through the pandemic so much that we found a way to do it virtually! The idea for Play On Words originated from a group of theater enthusiasts in Pittsburgh, PA. We took what resources we had to get back to an activity we loved when we weren't able to take the stage.

Each episode involves a new creative team or collaboration with another theater company. Some of it is new content written specifically for the podcast, others are short classics with their own audio twist.

We've been lucky enough to start producing live theater in 2022 and transforming those productions to fit audio format, and we are looking forward to sharing our next in-person event!
